You hear the Choir sing "Amazing Grace....How sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me". Then all of a sudden, you hear the Choir Leader say "Can't you just feel the presence of God here tonight." "No", is what I want to say. I don't feel the presence of God. Because I walk by faith, not by sight or feelings.

Let me put it this way, go to a rock concert, or a football game. You'll feel the same thing. Why? Because there is a lot of excitement, and the atmosphere feels really good.

When you come to Church what you feel is not the presence of God, because God is everywhere at all times, He's omnipresent. That's why we shouldn't come to Church with a sense of awe. But what you actually feel is the excitement of Christian brothers and sisters.

Try this out, ask your Church choir to sing "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas", you'll probably get the same feeling.
